The scouts on there way to the ueschenin hut

On monday the 8th we started our hike. It was a really sunny day when we left the village at around 12. We walked though a steep forest to a really torrential waterfall where we all pretended to jump in. Our guide, Orestis from Cyprus, had to give out to some Scouts (Sarah!) for going too fast. We also met Scouts from Denmark on the trail, and they stayed at the hut with us- they were very sound! The last part of the hike too the hut was difficult for Laura and Sarah- Aoife had to push them up the hill as they were very tired! For dinner we had rosty and bratwurst sausage, and we sang songs around the campfire with the Danish Scouts. Everyone was also pretty tired and fell asleep quickly after lights out- what a long day! ~ Laura
