Saturday 13th- pool day!

Today was loads of fun! We went to the local pool in Kandersteg village There was a slide, two diving boards and rubber rings in the water. They were so much fun! The Ventures and Scouts spent the day together, and as you can see in the photos even some of the Leaders dived in with us. Ollys cannonball was pretty impressive! Splash!

10th July - Ben Flynn achiever!!

OMG Ben came back for seconds we're all so proud of him! Some people say he is fussy, I say he has high standards. Well done Ben!!! ~Ronan 

10th July - afternoon, High Ropes on site

They were very brave though and went to the highest level the scouts could go, so well done to them! The second photo is of Eoghan, Kelan and Ben Cooper- they look very focused on working their way through this obstacle course! Then the third photo is of Dan getting up the ladder to the high wires. On monday the 8th we started our hike. It was a really sunny day when we left the village at around 12. We walked though a steep forest to a really torrential waterfall where we all pretended to jump in. Our guide, Orestis from Cyprus, had to give out to some Scouts (Sarah!) for going too fast. We also met Scouts from Denmark on the trail, and they stayed at the hut with us- they were very sound! The last part of the hike too the hut was difficult for Laura and Sarah- Aoife had to push them up the hill as they were very tired! For dinner we had rosty and bratwurst sausage, and we sang songs around the campfire with the Danish Scouts. Everyone was also pretty tired and fell asleep quickly after lights out- what a long day! ~ Laura
