18th July Thursday 13 - Breaking Camp - Dinner in Des Alpes

Activities today

• Break camp - pack away all our camping equipment and the rented equipment from KISC
• Clean site - get approval
• Check out - pay the bill
• dinner in Des Alpes tables booked for 25 people @ 7:30pm
• Try and get some sleep in Sports Field Lodge
• Collection by coach @ 5am in the morning

Ahh, we are coming to the end of our trip, home tomorrow, so all we have to do today is give out badges that we have earned during our trip.....

Wow 13 today Ben, celebrated in Switzerland...........

Cake was delicious for sure it was totally demolished.......

Now finish clearing the site, get it Approved by campsite pinkie staff,
Move all our gear to shelter beside sports field for the night in anticipation of our 5am collection for Zurich Airport....

Later that night...when scouts, venturers & other leaders were all trying to sleep...Ger was peacefully asleep.......

Ger trying to get forty winks before our
5am collection.....is there a pea under all
 those mattresses...what about the rest of
us where will we sleep?

 

But it would be a shame to wake him......

16th July 2013 Tuesday - White water rafting on the Simme River

Activities

• food shopping
• Simme Rafting day - no photos of rafting at present but hopefully may get some later....?!?!
• packed lunch on the hoof
• dinner
• Own time on site

Here we are at the Kandersteg village train station boarding the train to get to the location for the Rafting...journey time is about 40 minutes....2 trains and a 10 minute walk...

Ok this is us at the train station where we finished our rafting way down the river from where we started the rafting as as there were no photographers with us we cannot show you want it was like...but I think it is fair to say we all thoroughly enjoyed it....as you can see we are all pretty exhausted also and it was a steaming hot day....we eat our sandwiches here whilst waiting for the next train, pass the cheese someone......

Back at the KISC Campsite now and the lads are checking out the bazaar - location where groups have left stuff they didn't need anymore and it was available for others to take if they wanted....pretty neat...what is that Conor....cheese?  Laura they look like a nice pair of green lace up wellies??!?!??!

Ger and Ollie had a man day and stayed at Kandersteg so they kindly cooked the dinner whilst we were having fun....ahhhh what is it...Rosti?!?

Wow well that is definitely meat it must be a treat, have'nt seen much of that here......
